Junlan Feng

Dr. Feng Junlan is the Chief Scientist of China Mobile Group, an IEEE Fellow, and served as Chair of the Linux Foundation Networking Board of Directors (2020-2023). She earned her Ph.D. in Acoustics from the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2001 and subsequently worked as a Senior and Principal Researcher at AT&T Labs Research.
Since joining China Mobile in 2013, Dr. Feng has led the company's AI team in developing core algorithms and technologies. Her work has shaped the comprehensive "Jiutian" AI portfolio, which now supports over 3,700 production applications. Under her leadership, her team has undertaken 21 national-level research projects and won more than 30 international algorithm competitions, alongside numerous national and ministerial honors.
As an accomplished author, Dr. Feng has published over 200 academic papers, co-authored a book, and holds more than 150 patents. She actively contributes to the global academic community as a reviewer and program committee member for top AI conferences and journals, and has held over 15 roles, including committee member or vice chair, in organizations such as the IEEE.
