Eduardo Valencia is a dynamic technology leader with over 20 years of executive IT leadership experience in large, complex organizations. As Chief Information Officer for the Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC), he leads technology strategy and operations for Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) and six regional airports serving millions of passengers annually.
At MSP, Eduardo spearheads digital transformation initiatives focused on enhancing passenger experience, optimizing operations, and driving financial growth. He has successfully modernized critical systems including common-use platforms, wireless connectivity infrastructure with DAS and private wireless networks, access control, and parking services leveraging variable pricing and CRM capabilities. His migration of legacy infrastructure to hybrid cloud environments and establishment of comprehensive NIST-based cybersecurity frameworks with 24/7 security operations significantly reduces enterprise risk and strengthens operational resilience.
Prior to MAC, Eduardo served as Minnesota's Chief Technology Officer and Deputy Commissioner, consolidating 70 independent IT organizations into a unified agency and achieving significant cost avoidance while leading major cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
Eduardo holds a B.A. in economics and Spanish from the University of North Dakota and an M.S. in Management of Technology from the University of Minnesota.
