Speaker Bio

Co-founder and COO of Encomenda Capital Partners, Mercè brings over 20 years of experience in venture capital, investing in early-stage technology-driven start-ups. She has deep expertise in financial structuring, corporate transactions, regulatory and compliance matters, and in designing growth, scaling and exit strategies.

She began her career in corporate M&A and has since managed multiple VC funds, with a strong focus on insurtech, proptech, traveltech and digital transformation projects.

For more than a decade, she has served as a Board Member of Mutua de Propietarios, is an external evaluator for the European Commission (H2020 and EIC), and co-leads the Iberian chapter of Diversity.vc, promoting a more diverse and bias-free innovation ecosystem.

She holds a degree in Business Administration and Economics from Pompeu Fabra University.
