Session Description
As global connectivity demands accelerate, Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTNs) are emerging as a critical solution for bridging coverage gaps and expanding access worldwide. Leveraging innovations such as direct-to-device satellite links, drones and high-altitude platforms (HAPS) acting as airborne cell towers, NTNs are enabling new commercial and humanitarian applications from extending IoT services in remote industries to restoring communications after disasters. These advancements are also creating new market opportunities and intensifying industry competition, while raising important regulatory considerations.
This session will explore the evolving role of NTNs in global connectivity, highlight real-world use cases, and address the regulatory and competitive challenges facing the industry.
