Session Description
Scaling breakthrough technologies requires more than innovation—it demands smart financing, strong ecosystems, and effective public–private collaboration. This session explores how the European Innovation Council (EIC) is mobilising public and private capital to help Europe’s most promising deep-tech startups and scale-ups move from lab to global markets.
Through a unique combination of grants, equity investment, and private co-investment, the EIC supports innovation in strategic areas such as artificial intelligence, connectivity, future mobility, sustainability, and advanced technologies. The session will unpack how this model reduces risk, accelerates commercialisation, and strengthens Europe’s technological competitiveness.
The discussion will be complemented by a best practice of an EIC-backed deep-tech solution, showcasing how public investment can translate into real-world impact and scalable market deployment. Participants will gain practical insights into how investors, policymakers, and industry leaders can work together to unlock growth, build resilient innovation ecosystems, and scale transformative technologies with global relevance.
