Session Description
The international community has set ambitious targets to reduce the digital gender divide but much more is needed to accelerate progress. Currently 265 million fewer women than men are using mobile internet in low- and middle-income countries. GSMA analysis estimates that closing the gender gap in mobile internet adoption in LMICs will add $1.3 trillion in additional GDP by 2030. Join this session to discuss recent progress and strategies across various stakeholders to close the internet gender gap and hear about promising approaches to accelerate digital inclusion for women at scale.
